Christians Love That They’re Dumbasses

It pisses me off

You can only be against education for so long before people think that you are incurably stupid.

Christians are terrified of anything that could possibly disprove the Bible. They want everyone to believe everything it says regardless of the cost.

So they will purposefully politically oppose people receiving educations. That’s why they hate funding public schools, push for homeschooling, and love high student loans for all.

If people need to be more stupid to embrace the gospel then they are all for it.

The problem is that Christians take a lot of pride in the fact that everyone thinks they’re dumb.

It’s all because of this one verse that I see them use all the time whenever they’re losing a debate. It’s also one of my Dad’s favorite Bible verses.

1 Corinthians 1:18:

For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

They’re excited about the fact that they seem stupid to all of us because of this verse. It adds to their fantasy that they’re being persecuted all the time.

Poor Christians! Everyone always thinks they’re stupid because they act stupid. That’s obviously us treating them like shit because we are going to hell.

That’s the other reason they like this verse because it lets them do their second favorite thing to do other than have persecution fantasies, which is condemn people to hell.

It drives me insane because I don’t understand a world view where someone is excited by the idea of being seen as dumb.

Atheists are basically the opposite of that. Christians sees us as the dumb ones, but we at least want to try to be educated about things even if they think we are stupid.

Christianity would become a much better religion if they got rid of this single verse alone.
