Loverman’s Collapse
I have been a wreck since I have lost her,
Loverman’s Collapse
I have been a wreck since I have lost her,
Where has she gone? I wished she could stay,
Alas, she’s in the hands of the pale one six feet under,
’Tis so hard to stay happy, no matter come what may.
They say the trauma shall build me and harden me up.
The pain shapes me into a stronger version of myself.
Yet what they don’t know is it pummels me into a pulp
And spits on my heart, merely fragments of my former self.
Was the journey truly worth the torture that it brought?
All the memories I had of her, fading with every thought
Her sweet and loving embrace to the warmth of her gaze,
Yet her sudden departure has set my lonely heart ablaze,
The ones who know my life say I must push through it,
As if ‘twere a barrier where to move on in the ticket,
Yet they are unaware of the struggle it hath been,
When will they feel the pain that I go through within?
Every thought I’ve thought of, I associate with her,
Everything I look at, a remnant of the life I hath lost.
Without her by my side, it all goes by like a blur,
’Tis like emotion can’t reach me, like I’m covered in frost.
I say it’s too big a burden for a mere mortal like me to bear,
But is the release the only option? Is it worth facing Death’s glare?
Maybe I can just endure, keep my wits close and my mind wise,
Until I go and meet my maker and live with my love in the skies.
