tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow

a book so surreal you’ll feel like you’re surfing on rainbow hokusai wave. it’s nostalgic in a way west-coasters cannot believe, and cozy that east-coasters stamp their approval. i loved how it took place over decades, and to explore periods of times like the ‘90’s by just reading was pretty fun.

it’s one of the most unique storytelling i’ve read, and the way everything folds out is so nontheatrical yet telling. like all the emotions were made to be so real from the subtle writing, but it feels like your heart is run over by a truck.

sam masur & sadie green, the MMC and FMC, are far from perfect. their flaws make them real, and despite the times you want to scream at them, they will be planted into your heart. i’m not sure how, but 397 pages felt like i was on a lifetime journey with them.

“Tell me I don’t know you, Same thought. Tell me I don’t know you when I could draw both sides of this hand, your hand, from memory.”

i had to close the book several times because of tiny heartaches i felt, and yet it’s not supposed to be a really sad book. the vibes are so comforting, nostalgic, and melancholic as years fly by, you’ll be wishing for time to slow down because you know that the book will soon come to an end.

this book focuses the most on character development (well it is literary fiction) rather than some huge winding plot. i couldn’t tell u most of the plot that happened except for THE plot (wink wink), and yet the pages just wouldn’t stop flipping. i swear it’s magic! well, maybe because it’s rather addicting.
