Where do you want your money to come from?
The source of your income is important.
Where do you want your money to come from?
The source of your income is important.

Florida sunset!
I worked as a salesperson for a company selling something unimportant. My job was to make it sound important. I would knock on doors and call people, taking up their precious time with a stupid sales pitch for a god-awful product. (Sorry, that used to be me; I have changed, I swear).
I got paid well to do this. As described more in this article. A long story short. It left me feeling very unfufilled. One of the reasons for this is where my money was coming from.
Selling a product I didn’t like or believe in.
It was slowly killing me.
[Jordan Belford's](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Belfort#:~:text=Jordan%20Ross%20Belfort%20(/%CB%88b,subordinates%20in%20his%20fraud%20scheme.) story clarifies my point better than mine.
His early wealth came mostly from ‘pump and dump* *schemes*’ with penny stocks. He convinced ordinary, everyday people to ‘invest*’ in and pump up a worthless **stock so that he and his firm could sell it at inflated prices and profit. Leaving the ordinary person holding the bag.
He would make it sound like he had the next Amazon on his hands. When he really had nothing of value. He claims he was able to make 23 million in one day (through an initial public offering, or IPO).
He mentions, “I feel terrible about what happened… I don’t live my life in shame; I think that’s a toxic emotion. I live with remorse."
He is yet to pay back the full $110 million in restitution owed to his victims. You can make up your own mind about him.
You make all these millions, you’ve gained all that money from scamming everyday people.
You can turn a blind eye, especially when making millions, and watch the money grow and compile. Watch your lifestyle inflate and sleep in silk sheets…
Yet, deep down…
No matter the mansion, cars, or billions of dollars you have in your account. Exactly like Belford talks about.
You’ll feel empty.
How does it relate to today and you?
I think it is relatively self-evident that there is going to be a lot of money in weapons manufacturing in the coming months. Debatably years.
There are over 50 state-based conflicts occurring worldwide. As we speak now. Which is crazy. It's 2026, and it feels like we have learned nothing from the past. I digress.
Stocks where companies are building weapons. Will increase. If only for the short term.
Do you really want your money to be within that sector?
Would you be happy if your money were directly used to bomb the girls' school in Iran? The building of civilians in Lebanon?
Yes, you could claim it would happen anyway. I have also seen people claim that when they make money in that sector, they can turn it around and put it into something better.
That doesn’t change the fact that you’ve supported building bombs and jets.
There has to be a part of you that would hate that?
I understand the argument of tax dollars; you can’t control that. You can now control where your investment money goes.
Do you want to invest (and more than likely make) money on bombs and weapons or risk it in renewable energy sources? Supporting real people?
With all the pain and suffering in the world…
Why do you want to add more?
Do you want to be the reason Lacy doesn’t have parents anymore, or do you want to be the reason she gets to go to school again?
I think I know my answer.
More from me.
Till next time…
