Prevent your Avios from expiring for free

For most loyalty programs, your Avios will expire if you don’t earn or redeem any points in a 3-year period. The good news is you can easily avoid your points expiring for free!

In Australia, a free Virgin Money Go Account offers a way to earn 8 Virgin Money Points per transaction on the debit card. From there you can transfer those earned points to a number of frequent flyer or hotel programs, including Qatar Airways Avios at a ratio of 3 to 1.

It’s that simple. Sign up for an account, make a single purchase and transfer your points over to your Qatar Airways account, and those Avios won’t expire.
