• Example: Why does Instagram put “Stories” at the very top? Because users check them first.

Step 2: Build a UX mindset Start looking at apps and websites like a detective.

• Example: When you use Zomato, ask yourself: Why is the search bar so big? → Because people want food fast!

Step 3: Learn the process Explore frameworks like Design Thinking or the Double Diamond. They help you break down problems step by step, so you don’t just guess solutions.

• Example: Instead of saying “Let’s make the button blue,” you ask, “What exactly is the user struggling with?”

Step 4: Practice on real problems Pick something small and daily.

• Example: Hate waiting in a café queue? Design an app flow that lets customers pre-order from their table.

Step 5: Make a case study Write it out: What problem did you notice? How did you fix it? Why does your solution work better? This is how you build your portfolio story.

Step 6: Now bring in Figma Use Figma to design your screens. But this time, your designs won’t just look pretty — they’ll actually solve a real problem.

That’s the magic of combining UX + UI. UI makes it look great. UX makes it work great.
