Did you know about Metaverse?

Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Blockchain technologies, as well as social media concepts, employ a simulated digital environment is just what the metaverse is. Even though the term metaverse was recently popularized by Facebook’s rebranding as meta, it has been around as a concept since 1992 as Neal Stephenson introduced it in his sci-fi novel Snow Crash.

Over the last three decades, technological sophistication has skyrocketed to a point where it made the nonfictional metaverse near possible. Of course, Facebook isn’t the first firm to explore the metaverse, but its approach has built a solid foundation for a replicated digital environment. As Facebook explains “The metaverse is a collection of virtual spaces where you can create and explore with individuals who aren’t in the same physical space as you. You’ll be able to socialize with your friends, work, play, learn, shop, and create, among other things.” Additionally, it will create a new economic ecosystem where wealth can be created and trade with distinct virtual currencies corresponding to the real world. Ultimately, the development of the Metaverse will forever change how we inhabit the world around us.
