A Red Flag Found in A Green Forest

I didn’t know that even the greenest forests could hide red warnings.

There was a time when my steps led me into a forest. At first, I entered slowly, afraid of being bitten by snakes or encountering a lion — fearing it might end my life or leave me in endless pain.

So I moved forward, slowly but surely. As time passed, I began to see its beauty instead.

I heard birds chirping to greet the morning, butterflies dancing across colorful meadows, and fireflies lighting my path, soothing me through the dark nights.

The forest that once intimidated me became my most comforting place.

I found a companion there. Though I was different — a loner, an imagineer — he accepted me as I am. He never judged nor scolded me, only held me in a warm embrace, a comfort I had never known before.

I thought I had found my home.

But one stormy night with thunder broke everything.

The forest I trusted betrayed me, revealing a queen I never knew existed — a queen bee hidden in its depths.

It was a warning I could not ignore.

So even though this forest once felt like home, I chose to walk away.

I would rather be homeless for now than become the second queen.

And someday, at the right time, I will find a forest where I am the one and only — the happiest queen of all.
