Gartic Phone Updates: Smarter Tools and Hidden Shortcuts

Every line you draw in Gartic Phone matters. Whether you’re going for a masterpiece or a glorious disaster, the tools in your hands should help you create. This update is all about that: cleaner fills, smoother strokes, and a few shortcuts.

Bucket Tool

If you’ve ever used the bucket tool and watched the fill leave a stubborn ring of unfilled pixels around the edge, you know the frustration. Thinking of that, we’ve improved how the fill algorithm works. (yay, finally!)

Fills are now cleaner and more accurate. No more patchy edges, no more missed pixels at the border of your shapes. You draw the line; the bucket respects it.

Brush Precision

This one is subtle, but you’ll feel it. We’ve doubled the coordinate precision for every stroke and click on the canvas. What that means in practice: your lines land exactly where you intend them to, with less of that slight drift that used to happen at certain angles or brush sizes.

The canvas is the same size, it just listens better now.

Room Persistence

Before, if the system detected that nobody was active in the room, it would shut the lobby down right away. That meant if you were alone (or with just a few people) and happened to lose your connection for a moment, the room would be gone by the time you came back. Poof. Start over.

Rooms now stay alive for up to 10 minutes, even when no one seems active inside.

Hidden Shortcuts

These shortcuts work alongside the ones already in the game, there’s just no button for it on the screen. The more you know, the faster you draw.

0 (zero) — to snap the zoom straight back to 100%.

• ` — to go with an even thinner brush.

• 6, 7, 8, or 9 — to use brush sizes above 5, in sequence.
