DAR Open Network — Biweekly Community Update (Dec 1 — Dec 15, 2024)

As we continue to push the boundaries of Web3 gaming, the first two weeks of December have been packed with impactful updates, new proposals, community initiatives, and collaborations. Here’s a recap of our progress and what’s coming next:

1. D-DAO Proposal Update: Empowering the Stakers

We’ve seen tremendous engagement with the DP 03 Proposal, which aims to automate the DAR to D token conversion for tokens locked in staking contracts. This proposal will streamline the process for our stakers, making it a smooth, hands-off transition with a 1:1 ratio. The community has actively participated in the voting process, showing how committed everyone is to shaping the network’s future.

We look forward to executing the conversion in January 2025 and ensuring that stakers will no longer have to manually manage this process. We’ll be preparing the backend systems for a flawless conversion process in January, ensuring there are no hiccups for those who will benefit from this update.

2. Expanding Our Ecosystem: New Partnerships & Integrations

We’ve taken significant steps forward in our ecosystem with new game partnerships and blockchain integrations:

• Apeiron: Apeiron has joined the DAR Open Network ecosystem! This Roguelite x RTS card game is known for its unique gameplay mechanics and vibrant community. Our partnership will bring Web3 innovation to the forefront, and we’re excited to see how we can revolutionize the gaming experience with this collaboration.
• SnakyCat: We’ve partnered with SnakyCat, a unique game blending magic, mining, and strategy. Players can collect, compete, and conquer in two dynamic worlds.
• DAR ID’s integration with Ronin Network is another huge milestone. Ronin’s low-cost, fast transactions combined with our secure digital identity system will allow game developers and players to access a smoother, more scalable experience within the Web3 gaming space.

3. Community Engagement: Zealy Sprint

Our community continues to shine with active participation in various campaigns and events:

• Zealy Sprint Season 21 gave us another opportunity to engage the community with a reward-based competition. The engagement and energy during this season were exceptional, proving that our community is ready for more challenges.

4. Upcoming Events & Game Updates

As we near the end of the year, we’ve got some exciting events and game updates lined up:

• Dalarnia Nexus Closed Alpha: Whitelisted explorers have a limited time to access this early version of the game. We’re getting closer to gathering valuable player feedback and improving gameplay mechanics before the full launch. If you haven’t registered for DAR ID, now’s the time to do so!
• Gamenight on December 20: Our first-ever Discord Gamenight will bring the community together for a 1-hour tournament featuring Dalarnia Legends. The competition will be fierce, and the rewards will be plentiful!
