Is it good or scary?

The scariest thing about life is that all those heroes you looked up to will one day be in your shadows. Because your perception shifts.

As a child you think you’re everything, but you look up to your parents and certain people in your life.

Later on, you think you’re trash, and you may even think your heroes are trash. An eery space to be in. You hate everything and draw nourishment from nothing.

Then you one day realise you have to buckle up and go become something. Now, once more you have heroes. Those people that accomplished the things you want to accomplish. Or maybe just your friends and family who have stood by you. You have conversations with these people in your head or you imagine what you’re going to show them about your life. What will you get their opinion on? What will they advise you on. And then suddenly, one day, you wake up and you realise who you truly are. A spectacular being beyond anything anyone could have ever imagined. But now, all those heroes are just little people living their little lives. It’s like you woke up with a sudden ability to see everything in HD, while the whole world still sees things blurry.

Now it’s time to SCREAM. Because it’s fun to be on top, but not like THIS. Where is that support system that talked down to you? You would always take it. It was reassuring to be wrong and told off for something stupid you said or thought. That’s what life is about. But now, you see advice as the flimsy thing it is and you truest nature just brushes it aside. You’re still learning, growing, and nourishing yourself with people’s words and things you read and what not, you’re just much more selective about what you take in. Only on your own terms!

The good news? This is when your heroes get sripped down to who they truly are. Only the ones with nothing but love in their heart still remain relevant to you. It’s no longer about accomplishments or accolades. It’s just a game about love and you win.
