Lessons from the first BINI world tour we want to see to the upcoming Signals

This is not BINI’s first rodeo. Dubbed as the Nation’s Girl Group, completed by Gwen, Sheena, Mikha, Aiah, Stacey, Jhoanna, Maloi, and Colet, BINI is set to hold their second consecutive world tour “Signals,” spanning multiple countries from Asia, United States, Europe, and Australia.

The massive success of their first world tour snowballed their name globally, earning them an entry for the biggest musical stage in the world Coachella, as well as an appearance for Summer Sonic Festival in Japan later this year, also coinciding with their world tour. Moreover, their guesting in Grammy Museum and Billboard proved that they are one of the rising stars in the world.

But, a second world tour is not a joke. Moreso, when you watched their documentary trilogy that was filled with fatigue, hurt, and heartbreaks. And thus we ask the question, can they pull it off this time?

BINIverse Tour and pressure

Once is a fluke, but a second would be a declaration. A declaration not only for the girls, but for the world to take P-pop seriously. After all, a huge pool of talent is oozing in the Philippine setting, waiting for it to come out and dominate the world.

And that’s exactly where the pressure may come from. BINI is not just holding themselves but also carrying the whole P-pop scene alongside them. Both BINI and SB19 are the carriers of flame of this new generation of global domination that was left by Filipino icons Lea Salonga, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, and many others.

This time, however, is much bigger than the previous. In the age of the internet, interest and trends come and go. And the responsibility being held by BINI to represent the country is heavy. After all, they were already recognized by the Senate as possible ambassadors.

And with pressure and responsibility comes fatigue. In their first world tour, there were many instances that could have broken BINI. Minor injuries, fatigue, and nerves were always present.

Still, they managed to pull it off without major hindrances. And with their success came a fitting welcome, with a fan meet filled with cheers, as well as a successful and unforgettable year-end party that showed what is in store for the next year (2026).

What we want to see for Signals

And so to answer the question I posed earlier… can they pull this off? Yes!

This being their second time coming for the world, the fans expect not only for BINI to be better prepared emotionally and physically, but also for them to let their new songs shine.

Admittedly, classic bangers from the group are well-loved and may have already been memorized thoroughly by the audiences. And so, personally, I want to relive the Flames album, while simultaneously enjoying songs from their Signals EP.

Flames had a lot of potential but was severely underrated because of the lack of exposure. And so, venturing that area could be the go-to for the group, not only to maintain local relevancy but also to showcase globally what they are truly made of.

Meanwhile, the physicality and mentality of the girls are what I truly look forward to. Why? Because their experience would speak a lot louder this time around. How they manage their time and energy to bring out a well-deserved performance throughout the tour would be a make or break for the group.

This second world tour would have a lot of eyes for the group. Their initial world tour, as well as their appearance from Coachella and Summer Sonic, were something I would consider a stepping stone for the group. Why? Because these put them on the map, and this is one of the most pivotal moment for the group to not only maintain their presence but also grow it.

Still, with the lessons and heartbreaks from the first world tour, I believe that BINI have grew a lot as artists. I know that they can handle pressure better than they have ever been. After all, they did it once, and they learned from it. Moreso, their hunger has yet to fade, as seen from their electrifying performance in Coachella. And that’s what matters the most, their hunger to compete, to represent, because it what keeps them grounded and ready to blow everyone away.

Let’s admit, BINI is far too famous to be one hit wonders at this point. They have proven themselves in the biggest of stages. And so, the challenge for them now is raising the ceiling even further, getting global recognition to the level of Korea’s Kpop and Hollywood level fame. They have the talent, they have the management, and they have the appeal. And so I, for one, believe that this is not as farfetched as most of us think.
