Haiku: Mist
A cozy mystery?
Haiku: Mist
A cozy mystery?
We’ve had a lot of rain lately, and now that the temperatures are rising this moisture is attempting to return to the atmosphere. Some makes it, some only gets as far as the tree leaves where it drips back to Earth in some Sisyphean precipitation cycle. Or down my neck where I wipe it away and curse it with wrath of the gods.
And even though the words “mist” and “mystery” do not appear to have a common root, I think they should. There must be a petition I can sign somewhere…

For those using a screen reader, the haiku is:
Within soft stillness, A world shrouded by the mist Hides its mysteries
