Cold. Cleaned. R. & B. came to visit awhile. Why? J&P went to New York. Snowing at bedtime.

Sunday, March 22, 1992

Cold. Roads clear. Went to church. Not many there. Snowed at noon. Called T. He was called in to work. No one came to visit. Snowed all day. About 3 inches.

Monday, March 23, 1992

Cold. Up to 34 degrees. Roads clear. J2 stopped by in p.m. Brought sweet cherries. Nice.

Saturday, April 11, 1992

My 84th birthday. I never thought I would live this long. Thank God for his care. Had dinner out with the entire family. Good. DS’s daughter is a little lady.

Tuesday, May 5, 1992

Chilly. I ordered a dress. I need a couple summer ones. My back hurts. I don’t know why. Aspirin helps a bit. I may need an x-ray. I have so much to do.

Went to church to the Mother’s Day Tea. Nice. Several were there.

Sun out. Didn’t go to church, as I wanted to be here when J&P came.

Unfortunately, that was my grandmother’s last diary entry. I will fill in, over the next few days, some of the things that happened after this entry, using my own journals and recollections. 1992 wasn’t a great year for her; I’ll leave it at that for now. We have a nice family photo from the birthday dinner we had for her that year. I am very glad to have it, but won’t share it here.
