Does thinking about someone else mean you’re forgetting yourself?

Could they have texted back if they wanted to? Or did they really not get the time? How to know?

Does thinking about someone else mean you’re forgetting yourself?

I have constantly wondered how great it would have been to be detached from people. Because the people we think the most about, cannot care less about us it seems.

Maybe that’s not the actual case, but it certainly feels that way. I mean how hard is it to type a text once in a while? Even when someone’s super busy. But I guess it all comes down to priorities, and what hurts the most, is knowing exactly that.

But the most problematic part is not the feeling of being neglected by someone we obsess about, it’s the hopelessness we feel when we can’t do the same. A reply after 4 hours, and zoop, an immediate text back.

Is there a way to get your power back? To feel as if you’re far more important for yourself and your life than that “busy” person. But, does this happen with others as well or is it just me?

🤷🏻‍♀️
