*Writer’s block is a problem every writer faces from time to time. Some writers face it more than others but everyone has faced it.*

I also faced writer’s block a lot in the past. It would take me several days to get over it. But now I have a solution that lets me get over it easily.

As the name suggests, writer’s block blocks your creativity as a writer. The need to be perfect as a writer stops you from writing.

Every writer wants to write well and there’s nothing wrong with it. But if it’s blocking you from writing, it’s a problem that needs to be solved.

I have faced writer’s block so much that I have lost count.

Here is what I do now to get over it and start writing again:

1. Write for Two Minutes

This is the first step I take to beat writer’s block. I write for two minutes without trying to be perfect.

It can be the worst content I write but I write.

I set the timer and start writing. Taking the pressure off does wonders and lets me write.

It’s a way to tell your brain to let the words out as there is no need to be perfect. The freedom to write anything without trying to be perfect lets you write.

You get over the self-doubts that writer’s block has created and start writing again.

2. Change Your Writing Corner

Every writer has a part of their house where they like to write.

I have a small room in my house which gives me a quiet and peaceful ambiance perfect for writing.

I love writing there but when faced with writer’s block I go to another part of the house to write. Changing where I write has helped me beat writer’s block and let my creativity flow again.

Moving away from where you usually write can also help beat writer’s block.

3. Go Outside

I also go out for a walk when faced with writer’s block. The feel of fresh air makes me feel refreshed. My mind gets the energy it needs to start getting thoughts into words. This is another great way I beat writer’s block.

I return to my writing desk, open my laptop, and start writing again. Writer’s block is gone or at least it’s not as bad as it was before I went out.

Writer’s block is a problem but not as serious as many writers think. Making small changes to your writing space, going outside, and just writing something for a few minutes can do wonders.

How do you deal with writer’s block? Do you have any other innovative way to get over it?
