SPONTANEOUSLY NEEDING TO EXPLORE
A WILLING OF ONE’S OWN ACCORD
SPONTANEOUSLY NEEDING TO EXPLORE
A WILLING OF ONE’S OWN ACCORD
To change the universe, from what it will allow, you’ll need to do differently what you’re doing right now.
Many cultures have deeply rooted terms and traditions. It requires a perceptive condition that challenges your daily cognition. Wandering is a way to spiritually align with the divine presence or the self’s inner essence.
It’s not a pilgrimage in any direction but more like a random navigation, blind traveling to unknown locations.

The WALKABOUT in Aboriginal Australian culture, it’s a rite of passage and journey undertaken, through the bush to live in the traditional way, both a physical and spiritual reconnection and meaning, convening between ancestral land and the Dreaming.
In Islamic cultures the **SULUK** is a Sufi spiritual journey, walking toward divine intimacy, literal wandering or travel to meet God’s presence through material world detachment and simplicity, while seeking more synchronicity.
In the Indigenous North American VISION QUEST traditions, individuals would travel, with few provisions, alone into nature to fast, pray, and seek spiritual guidance through dreams or visions.
At its heart, such peripatetic traditions manifest without any direct mission.
It’s not an army to conquer or invade, just random people meeting people sharing their ways — some are willing volunteers to lend anyone more aid — helping hands, there at that moment, ready and unafraid.
In modern society, with todays shared anxieties, many are now evidently more reticent … wandering about anywhere, we’re all far more hesitant.
Here to assist with constructive intervention, without sending anyone in a given determined destination or direction. In fact, no one else can, but there is a strategized spontaneous travel plan.
The rules of the road are spiritually bestowed:
Simply start at the nearest crossroad, to know which way you need to go. Flip any coin to check which way to head. If the first flip is tails, then flip the coin again.
It’s not even the traveling that counts, but to taste something you don’t know how to pronounce. It’s about hearing a sound you’ve never heard, or learn new moving inspirational words.
Just head toward the tallest thing you can see. Sit for a bit under a sprawling tree. Speak to someone you never knew and walk wherever that wind just blew.
Walk a straight street not knowing where it ends. Sit to rest when it curves around a curving bend. Take a few minutes just to think, when not knowing, then turn left instead of right and keep going.
The destination is nowhere at all, until you hit the proverbial purposeless wall. Rest and then race the other way, from which you just faced, picking up the pace just like you are being chased. Follow a stranger’s path from a distance. Always stop to help anyone needing your assistance.
Take that winding road along the nearest shore, to someplace you’ve always ignored. You may spot an old friend, a teacher, something unfamiliar, or unusual creature. While down the road, see the can and kick it, and buy a local lottery ticket.
Step onto that convenient next bus with your destination in doubt, without even rechecking the route. Get off at a random stop, on purpose, or if ever you see a traveling circus.
Cross the nearest bridge, especially when long and wide, just to see what’s on the other side.
Take any train, when crowded and overflowing, no matter where it’s going.
Keep moving until you don’t know where you are, no matter how far, just follow that northern star.
Wherever you go, whatever you learn, whomever you see — even not winning the lottery — you’re exactly where the universe wants you to be.
