Wow! So hot these days around the globe, heat waves in Europe, even in Hong Kong, it’s easily dehydrated outdoor. So, our government also warn us to stay cool avoid staying long under the sun.

The first thing I can think of will be shopping in the mall, the most popular activity in our city, especially in the summer. But this Summer, our mall serves another purpose generously.

There is a 540-inch display broadcasting all FIFA World Cup 2026 matches live. But the LED display seems small when hanging high; I was not attracted by it, but rather by the crowd around it instead.

On a Sunday afternoon when I walked home, passing by this artificial football court at 4:30 p.m. It was interesting to see the fans’ combination that varied in different ages. They were amused by their own activities rather than the matches.

I guess it was during halftime break, maybe. Or, in fact, people were more interested in the 24-hour cooling zone instead?

If you want to meet the true soccer fans, you can find them at midnight and in the early morning. They brought their private lounge chair to stay overnight with snacks, of course, and the atmosphere is much different from this snapshot.

We live in a limited space in Hong Kong, but there is never an issue when folks need to gather around for a special event. This is how a commercial move can still benefit the citizen, somehow.
