Little to Say

I ought to be silent

I have little to say so I ought to be silent

I rarely am for long it seems against my nature

Why do you suppose I try to fill the awkward moments

Who made me the keeper of everyone’s comfort

They say that it comes with this territory

Someone must step in and get things moving

I still have this one not particularly brilliant

Question that lurks within me: where exactly are we going

I have so little to say I would rather be silent
