I am saddened to report I’ve encountered yet another scam on Medium. In a comment someone asked if I had “digital tokens” to sell.

The potential “buyer” claimed to be a Curator. There IS a curator going by the name of the commenter but I doubt a bona fide Curator would contact random people on the internet about “digital tokens”. Methinks it’s a case of impersonation. The “Curator’s” page on this hallowed platform contained no stories.

So keep your wits about you. Nobody wants to fall prey to an online charlatan or mountebank. (I like vintage words sometimes).

I used the block button to get no more stories from the “Curator”. I also sent a message to the REAL Curator’s website informing somebody was masquerading as her. I also reported the writer to the Powers that Be on Medium.

Beware of folk asking to buy your “digital tokens” and stay alert.
