First Look at the Prototype — Sunflower Wallet

It’s **no-hive, and my team and I are working hard to solve one of DeFi’s biggest problems — poor UX. We wrote about it here — [Medium link].**

It was a theoretical breakdown: we concluded Bitcoin DeFi needs a new mobile wallet with smooth UI so more people can access Bitcoin-linked assets on a daily basis.

Now it’s time to show our progress. We are here to give the first update on Sunflower Wallet:

We’ve already built a solid foundation for our wallet — especially when it comes to seed phrase and private key management. (Security is our #1 priority.)

But greater things are still on the horizon. Check project docs for updates.

**By the way, what is Sunflower Wallet? **(in case you got randomly to this article)

Sunflower Wallet is built to serve the emerging BTCFi sector — decentralized finance anchored to Bitcoin. This anchoring brings greater stability to all BTCFi assets, making them more resilient compared to traditional DeFi assets. (Imagine earning yield simply by holding an asset that’s backed 1:1 with BTC — that’s the possible power of Sunflower Wallet).

Sunflower Wallet is a Stacks wallet. And Stacks is one of the most promising Bitcoin Layer 2 ecosystems when it comes to DeFi + long-term investments. But we chose it not only because our team loves it — Stacks is also home to a wide variety of BTCFi protocols, and we aim to integrate as many of them as possible.

Conclusion.

DeFi does not have a yield problem. It does not have a liquidity problem. It has a usability problem. The next generation of wallets will be defined not by the number of supported protocols, but by how effectively they help users navigate them. Sunflower is our attempt to solve that challenge.
