Appian: Handle Extra long text field in Records
Good News. Appian has extended the char limit for record field values to 64000 by introducing a new field type called Extra Long Text. This enhancement allows you to store and manage significantly larger text data within your records.
NOTE: As per the Appian standards, can’t define more than 3 record field type as Extra Long Text

Text fields containing values longer than 4,000 characters will be truncated in Appian. Instead, set Record fields that store large amounts of data to type “Extra Long Text”, so you can store values up to 64,000 characters.

By default, when you create a new record, the Extra Long Text field will not appear in the Record List view.

Display Extra Long text field type in Read-only grid:
If the Record list contains an Extra Long Text field type, you cannot directly map the records to a Read-Only grid. Attempting to do so will result in an below error. Consider removing or handling this field separately when configuring the grid.
