Tambourine Competition Becomes Highlight of BKGS Competition 2026

Salatiga (May 14) — The Badan Kerjasama Gereja-gereja Salatiga (BKGS) held a series of competitions at the DPRD Building on Thursday as part of its Easter celebration. Among the events, the tambourine competition became one of the main highlights.

The competition featured three categories: Bible Quiz, Solo Vocal, and Tambourine. The Bible Quiz took place inside the building, while the Solo Vocal and Tambourine competitions were held on the main stage.

The event began at 11 a.m. following the opening ceremony. The venue was crowded with participants and guests, with several UMKM tenants set up around the main stage area. The audience showed strong enthusiasm by cheering for the participants throughout the performances.

A total of five teams participated in the tambourine competition. Each team performed the same song, “Till The Walls Come Down” by Planetboom, performing their creativity through choreography and synchronization.

One of the participating teams came from GBI Bukit Hermon, consisting of Nita, Tyas, Dewi, Vania, and Gadis. According to Gadis, the team prepared for the competition for approximately two weeks.

“We had about two weeks for preparation,” she said. She explained that the team faced several challenges during the preparation process, particularly in arranging practice schedules due to each member’s different activities. In addition, maintaining stamina was also difficult, as the practice schedule coincided with her academic responsibilities as a college student.

The event continued with the announcement of winners in the afternoon, marking the end of the competition series. The team from GBI Bukit Hermon secured first place in the tambourine competition. Overall, the BKGS Competition 2026 successfully brought together participants and communities in a lively Easter celebration.
