Cuba Takeover Imminent

REPORTING FROM MIAMI — Reprising Trump’s Venezuela playbook with American special forces terrorists ready to strike, the seizure of Raul Castro for a show trial in rightwing-sewer Miami and the at-gunpoint resignation of President Miguel Diaz-Canel are imminent. Trump is most likely to install Óscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, deputy prime minister and grand nephew of Raul and Fidel, as interim president. Check my updates. Fraga, like Delcy Rodriquez in Venezuela, will take orders from Viceroy Marco Rubio or else. His job will be to begin dismantling the Cuban Communist Party and end the 67 year socialist working class revolution.

Trump appears to have settled, for now, on Venezuela-style regime compliance over regime collapse. “Trump doesn’t want a societal breakdown on his watch,” says Brian Latell, a former C.I.A. analyst and Cuba expert. But U.S. special forces bombed and murdered over 100 Venezuelans in seizing Maduro.

Trump clearly wants to avoid the Jimmy Carter-Mariel & Joe Biden Cuban refugee crises that ruined Miami with uncontrolled illegal migration that lead to the colonization of South Florida by so many Spanish speakers that there is no longer any motivation to speak English in their adopted country.

Raul Castro, Fidel’s brother and co-leader of the 1959 revolution, wearing the original MAGA cap, at 94 remains in almost total control of the government, in good health and surprisingly lucid for his age. The ridiculous indictment charges Castro with ordering the shoot-down of two Cuban exile planes approaching Cuba in 1996. In 1996 — what took so long if the charge was real? — two small planes flown by the Cuban exile terrorist group Brothers to the Rescue approached within 5–8 miles from Cuba, Raul, who was Minister of Defense at the time, ordered the planes shot down and four crew were killed. One of the pilots, who wasn’t killed, was Jose Basulto, a former CIA agent who had attacked Cuba in the Bay of Pigs invasion and founded BTTR. The group was part of a network that bombed Cuban tourism targets and plotted assassinations and ran paramilitary operations against Cuba. BTTR had violated Cuban airspace 25 times before, prompting Fidel to send a letter to Bill Clinton demanding that he stop the flights. Clinton, who was maintaining the brutal economic blockade of the island, declined. The indictment is pure pretext and insiders say it is legal cover for an illegal special op to seize Castro. As they say, U.S. grand juries will indict a medianoche sandwhich if asked.

As is usual with unjustified, indefensible, criminal actions, the Trump administration is planting false rumors that Cuba is planning drone strikes on Key West. There is a U.S. naval air base near Key West but it is hard to believe Cuba would strike it even if it were launching air strikes against the regime, though I wish it could obliterate the base in that event.

Expect Castro to be perp walked in Miami with tens of thousands of Cubans, albeit a minority of the Cuban-American population, staging sickening, raucous all night street celebrations. When you see the news coverage by Miami millionaire-owned, anti-socialist propaganda outlets such as the rightwing Miami Herald and Nuevo Herald and Univision, don’t fall for it. The demonstrations will be driven by the extremist millionaire Cuban- and Venezuelan-American business interests agitating to take over Cuba, its economy, government and media. Most of the people you will see in the streets are propagandized dupes who have been fed anti-socialist propaganda narratives for decades by their big amplifier — the Miami Herald.

Trump & Rubio appear to have found their takeover agent in Fraga. As minister of foreign trade and investment, Fraga is a younger insider more amenable to the Trump-Rubio ruling clique who can speak the language of international capital and yield to Washington’s demands to salvage what he can of his grand uncles’ revolution. As a Castro, he might bridge the Trump-Rubio agenda and the Cuban Communist Party. Under threats, Fraga has already announced potentially one of the biggest policy shifts since the Castros seized power in 1959: allowing Cuban exiles to own businesses and invest in Cuba.

Rubio is trying to strike a deal with the Castro leadership that would allow large corporations onto the island WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS, the libertarian dream. That means minimal taxation as Rubio defunds free public education and healthcare and affordable public housing and food programs and privatizes the largely government-run economy. The military owns 40–70% of businesses such as tourism, hotels, supermarkets, internet, currency exchanges and one of the largest banks, the revenues being used to fund socialist programs. Based on the Venezuelan playbook, Trump would allow the military’s continued control of the economy, until big business can gain a foothold and take over the political system.

Rubio’s demand in gunpoint negotiations is to free 1000 ‘political prisoners’, many who were convicted of violent protests aimed at overthrowing the government much like the U.S. January 6th coup attempt. The regime opponents, dominated by aspiring business people and capitalist investors will be freed to organize opposition to the Communist Party in preparation for eventual ‘free’ elections. Able to spend unlimited amounts of business profits on campaigns they will control the candidates and outcomes. Key to this will be owning mass media which will come to dominate society and propagandize on behalf of the wealthy business owning class. Think FOX. Trump and Rubio are deploying a clever strategy guaranteed to dismantle the Cuban Communist Party without a violent invasion and civil war.
