For me, Sundays are for Church. There’s something grounding about being in that space ⛪️ hearing the soft bell before mass, the choir warming up, the familiar hum of people finding their seats. From newborns to the grey-haired, all under one roof. And I can’t step back but admire the elderly who still show up so well-groomed, elegant, and peaceful. Stylish uncles and graceful aunties. Watching them walk slowly, steadily, with quiet purpose — honestly, they inspire me. Their presence strengthens my faith. Makes me wonder — what keeps them coming back, even at this age?

🪨 The 12 Stones — The paths they walked through…

Today’s message was simple — it was about the Israelites during the time of Joshua. just a gist…(This event is recorded in Joshua 4:1–7)

Once everyone had crossed the Jordan River, God instructed Joshua to choose twelve men, one from each tribe and ask them to pick 12 stones from the middle of the riverbed.

👉🏻🪨 These stones were meant to be a reminder — something the future generations could see and learn from.

If the ones who didn’t see it happen came across those stones and ask, “Why are these stones 🪨 are here?”, 👇

  1. They would be told the story.
  2. The struggle.
  3. The journey through the wilderness.
  4. The miracle.

And most importantly, what God did for them.

As reminders: — A road map for those who didn’t walk that road, but still need to know the path.

🧩 My Reflection

While listening to this, something clicked. I thought about our own lives — the people we look up to: parents, teachers, mentors. They’ve all crossed their own seas. Faced their own battles. But most of them? They rarely talk about it. They never really tell us how they made it through. What decisions broke them or saved them. What moments changed their mindset. And that’s a loss for us — not because we’re entitled to their stories, but because those stories carry life lessons.

Most parents carry this protective instinct: “Let’s not burden our kids with what we faced. Let them have it easier.”

It’s noble.

But I also think… maybe if they just shared a little more the real parts, the turning points, the mess — we would walk into life a little less lost, little more confident, and more aware that life was never meant to be free of problems.

💡 The Real Takeaway

Just like those 12 stones, we all have reminder’s from our own life. Moments we overcame something. Learned something.

Instead of letting those lessons quietly sit inside of us or fade away, maybe we’re meant to share with someone someday who might be struggling —

our stories could make them stop, notice, and ask, “What happened here?”

And they might feel little confident that they’re not the only one going through problems, heartbreaks, failure or loss🤔.

or might think, If someone else could get through this, maybe I can too.

or it might give them a little bit of hope, a new way to look at things, or just enough strength to take one more step.

what I’m taking home from today’s service. A quiet nudge: Don’t hide your stones. Share them. Someone, someday, might find direction in them.

Made it just in time before the day wrapped up… 🫣🌿

See you around…
