How I Lost Two Kittens To The Fading Syndrome!

This is the date when I lost two babies of my cat. There were five almost healthy kittens delivered by my cat three days ago. She was extremely restless, and this was not her first time having a litter but her second.

My Turkish Angora is a very enthusiast mum, which is why I never got her spayed. I can see that she wants to have a partner and babies. This is why we kept her male kitten from the first litter.

Now, the point here is during her first litter, she lost a kitten, and it leaves me devasted every time this happens.

There Are Few things That I noticed and would like to share

I noticed that one kitten was not nursing, and I took things into my hands and tried hard so that they could start feeding. Nothing happened. I purchased formula milk for babies as all cat shops were closed on Sunday and mixed it with sugar, but it was still gone. But I kept on feeding it. I tried my best, and now I regret the feeding, but still, I tried.

Sometimes, This Is a Sudden

In the morning, I went to see the other kittens and realized that another was dead and lying away from the babies beneath my cat’s head. It was really a sudden one!

Give Them Last warmth

But i made sure the one which was with me felt that someone cared for them for the one last time. This is a circle of life, but it hurts to see them gone too soon!

I Don’t believe in Formula Milk

I don’t know if there is regret or guilt; maybe I wasn’t careful, or maybe I used formula milk with sugar, and that’s why this happened. Then what about the other baby? It was with his mom and still faded! Still, I don’t recommend formula milk.

Let’s Discuss Some of the symptoms I encountered first-hand for the fading kitten syndrome:

1. Loss of appetite

2. Leaving the litter

3. The cat’s mom is not paying attention

4. Lower Temperature

5. Lethargic Body

6. Not Sucking

7. If You feed through a syringe, it vomits

90% of the time,e fading kitten syndrome is fatal and takes the life of the kitten. As a cat parent, I am still in shock.
