CLUB STATEMENT

We are proud to announce that our girls, Sanni Aishat and Sofiat Razaq have been selected to represent Nigeria at the LALIGA and EA SPORTS Football Development Program in Madrid, Spain.

This comes after the conclusion of the LALIGA EA NEXT Gen Draft in Nigeria, a grassroots football project by LALIGA and EA SPORTS, supported by Legacy Sports, the Nationwide League One (NLO) and the Lagos State Football Association. The program is designed to discover and empower young talent across five countries: Nigeria, Morocco, Mexico, China and Japan. From Nigeria, only eight players made the cut: 4 boys and 3 girls and two of those girls are our product.

They are currently in Spain to train, compete and experience elite football development environments alongside the best young players from across the world, while being watched by football clubs, academies and international scouts. The selection process was detailed, covering technical ability, tactical understanding, physical qualities and attitude, with a focus on long-term potential. So for our girls to come through that process and be chosen to represent Nigeria on a global stage, it tells everything we are building at Dream Star Ladies FC.
