“I will not go to a home. I can take care of myself.”

78 degrees. Cloudy early. Sun out. Rained last night some. Cleaned. Tired for some reason. S. left to visit her friend K.K. at college. J&P called. Her teachers’ union is on strike. Got flowers from DS and LD for Grandparents’ Day.

90 degrees. Warmer. Washed. Cleaned. M. & S. took me out to dinner for Grandparents’ Day. Nice. There were turkeys and two bears spotted in state. Also two moose or some kind of deer. J&P called. The strike is over.

95 degrees. Fog early. Cleared. Paid some bills. Washed. Trimmed in front of the house. Tired. Had another reaction. At 9 p.m. I woke up with M. and S. there, scared. They called an ambulance. I refused to go to the hospital. My blood pressure was 180/80. I got ok. I hate that.

Got up. Felt ok. Blood sugar was 238. Warm. Humid. Tired. Puttered. It stormed around 7:30 p.m. I feel that I am a care to the kids. I can’t help a reaction. I will not go to a home. I can take care of myself. J2 came by. T. is away for work. I had another reaction about 10 p.m. Got alright.

54 degrees. Sun out awhile. Fog early. Washed. Had a reaction. Sneaky. S. called the ambulance. I didn’t need it. Awful.
Those reactions, within just about a week of each other, were scary to my mom and me. That’s why we called the ambulance. If we couldn’t get her to come around ourselves, we knew that we needed professional help. We couldn’t force her to go if she refused, though. I’m surprised they didn’t make her go with her blood pressure that high. I also don’t understand why she was having so many again. Guess it was the insulin at night. Her damn doctors never could control her diabetes and it still angers me, to this day, long after she’s gone. My grandmother swore she wouldn’t go to a home and that she could care for herself. We will see how long that will last.
