Apologize if this Article feels rushed and short but this week I am writing from Berlin, Germany!

Many people move to America for the coveted “American Dream” known for being able to work and it pays off, owning a house came with that dream. It was the fruit of your labor, the reward of your hard work, it was also the reward for financial responsibility, and long-term planning.

In this economy, that dream creeps farther and farther away every day.

The American people can feel it, prices are surging, and home values have skyrocketed. Mortgage rates have made owning a home near impossible. Young adults aren’t moving out, families are spending too much on housing, and first time homebuyers are finding themselves Priced out of the market.

These numbers are difficult to ignore.

When housing costs consume a large share of a family’s income, everything becomes harder. (A financial advisor doesn’t recommend spending more than 30% of your salary on housing) Saving for retirement becomes harder, raising children becomes harder, building wealth becomes harder. Even handling. unexpected emergency can become a financial crisis,

Lots of Americans claim these prices are “apart of his plan” or “will get better” but it’s not true, it can’t be further from the truth. Housing is a basic necessity of life, yet millions of Americans struggle to afford it.

Why did lawmakers let this happen?
