This Guy Has No Backbone

He’s literally the worst president for these times. He has no plan. He’s just winging it.

Disclaimer: This article is an independent analysis based on publicly available reports and market trends, it is based on my personal online research. While I strive for accuracy, financial landscapes shift rapidly, and new information may emerge, which could prove me wrong, I’m not a journalism expert. Readers are encouraged to verify details from multiple sources before drawing conclusions. This is not financial or investment advice — just an exploration of the evolving global economy.

Donald Trump just proved, once again, that he isn’t going to back down, on being a global bully that is.

Here’s what he dropped:

“Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the world markets, I’m hereby raising the tariff charged to China by the United States to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the USA and other countries is no longer sustainable or acceptable.”

Then, the twist:

“For the 75 countries that have reached out to negotiate, I’ve authorized a 90-day pause with a lowered reciprocal tariff of 10% during this period.

The result?

  • Dow Jones surges 6% in minutes
  • Markets breathe temporary ‘relief’
  • Republicans scramble to spin the chaos

This wasn’t policy. This was economic shock therapy.

2. The Hidden Game Behind the Tariff Gambit

Trump’s move reveals three brutal truths about modern economics:

1. Markets Run on Narrative, Not Math

  • For days, analysts warned of global trade collapse.
  • Then, one post softens the blow for 75 nations, and suddenly: “Maybe this won’t be apocalyptic?”
  • Reality: Nothing structurally changed. Just perception.

2. China is the Designated Villain

  • Trump could’ve started with targeted China tariffs.
  • Instead, he first threatened everyone (allies included), then “mercifully” walked it back — except for China.
  • Result: China takes the heat. The U.S. looks “reasonable.”

What I think? That this isn’t some “4D Chess move” but rather a lack of spine.

Trump is still stuck on global Tariffs, they’re not gone, just on a pause.

He saw the market collapse. He saw countries trying to band together against him. He saw the public pushback He saw the inefficiency (rather stupidity) of his own actions

And pulled back.

This behavior is very similar to a bully who constantly tells you that he’s going to beat you up and the moment you stand up to him

He falls back.

3. The 90-Day Mirage

  • “Negotiations” sound productive.
  • But here’s the catch: No clear U.S. demands exist.
  • What are we negotiating? No one knows.
  • This isn’t strategy. It’s a time-out for markets to calm down.

3. The Real Winners and Losers

Winners:

  • Wall Street: Got its temporary relief rally.
  • Republicans: Now have a “China bad, Trump tough” narrative.
  • Multinationals: Dodged the worst of the tariffs (for now).

Losers:

  • China: Just got slapped with 125% tariffs — a de facto trade blockade.
  • Small Businesses: Still face 10% baseline tariffs (4x higher than pre-Trump).
  • Consumers: Prices on Chinese goods will skyrocket.

4. The Fatal Flaw: Policy by Whim

Trump’s approach has one gaping hole:

There’s no endgame.

  • No defined goals (What does “winning” look like?)
  • No roadmap (How do these tariffs rebuild U.S. manufacturing?)
  • No stability (What stops him from changing his mind tomorrow?)

This isn’t “4D chess.” (sorry I keep using that). It’s governing by mood swings.

5. What Comes Next?

Short-Term:

  • Markets will cheer (until the next tweet).
  • China will retaliate (likely with non-tariff measures).
  • Inflation will creep up (especially on electronics, clothing).

Long-Term:

  • If Trump holds firm on China: Supply chains will break.
  • If he folds: His “tough negotiator” image shatters.
  • Either way: The era of predictable trade policy is over.

Final Thought: The New Rules of Power

Trump just demonstrated that in 2025:

  • A viral post > economic forecasts
  • Perception > policy details
  • Volatility > stability

The question isn’t “Are tariffs good or bad?”

It’s:

“How do you thrive in a world where rules change by the hour?”

The answer?

Adapt faster.
