Fashion eCommerce apps often fail not because of poor visuals, but because they overwhelm users too early. While designing this home screen, my primary focus was to reduce cognitive load and design a clear path from curiosity to action.

The process began by understanding user intent. Most users land on a home screen without a specific product in mind. They want inspiration. That insight led to a discovery-first layout where collections and trending items take precedence over filters.

Personalization at the top creates familiarity, while search remains accessible without dominating attention. Each section is designed to answer one user question at a time: What’s new? What’s popular? What brands can I trust?

Visual hierarchy plays a critical role here. Strong product imagery draws attention, while subtle metadata supports decision-making without clutter. Brand logos reinforce credibility after interest is built, not before.

This screen is the result of multiple trade-offs — between speed and detail, exploration and control, aesthetics and usability. Every decision supports one outcome: helping users feel confident enough to continue.

Good UX isn’t about adding features. It’s about removing friction.
