The Words “Best Wishes” are very Deep
So that you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and support him and respect him, and glorify (Allah) morning and evening. (Quran 48:9)
The Words “Best Wishes” are very Deep
So that you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and support him and respect him, and glorify (Allah) morning and evening. (Quran 48:9)
Wanting good for others is a pure expression of love, sincerity, brotherhood and faith. Wanting good for others leads us to care, compassion, selflessness, altruism, charity, advice, enjoining good, forbidding evil, dua and dawah.
Be like that mother, who when she halves the egg, always take the smaller part. Someone who always eats the first and last bread slice because its crusty and tastes bad.
We begin with the praise of Allah, praise that is plentious, blessed and pure. He begins and repeats
إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ — Indeed, it is He who originates and repeats. And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate. Honorable Owner of the Throne. Effecter of what He intends. (Quran, Surah Al Buruj)
I swear there is no god but Allah and I swear that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
A Muslim should want good for others.
None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. (Bukhari: 13)
The Prophet (Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) wanted good for people. He advised them, and preached to them. And worked for their guidance.
Allah sent him as a witness, and a bringer of good news and a warner.
لِّتُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا — So that you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and support him and respect him, and glorify (Allah) morning and evening. (Quran 48:9
Al Irbad ibn Sariyah said: One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with us (as Imam), then faced us and gave us a profound exhortation (advice, sermon), at which the eyes shed tears and the hearts were afraid.
Someone said: Messenger of Allah! It seems as if it was a farewell advice, so what do you command us? He then said:
I urge you to fear Allah, and to hear and obey even if it be an Abyssinian slave (as your leader),
for those of you who live after me will see many disagreement (people will disagree so much).
You must then follow my sunnah and that of the rightly-guided caliphs. Hold tight to it and bite it with the molar teeths.
Beware of newly invented things (in religion), for every newly invented thing is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance.
(Abu Dawud 4607, Sahih — Al Albani)
Dear students, the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam cared for people, wanted good for them. And you should care for others and want good for them. And I care for you and want the best for you.
Seek Allah’s forgiveness, He is the Most Forgiving, the Always Merciful.

Alhamdulillah. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send peace and blessings upon His Messenger.
Dear Muslims, I advise myself and you to fear Allah and be careful of Him. Allah says:
And whoever is mindful of Allah, He will absolve them of their sins and reward them immensely.
This khutbah is about wanting good for others.

Nuh (Noah) alaihis salam said:
أُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّي وَأَنصَحُ لَكُمْ
I convey to you the messages of my Lord and advise you (or wish you good);
Hud alaihis salam said:
أُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّي وَأَنَا لَكُمْ نَاصِحٌ أَمِينٌ
I convey to you the messages of my Lord, and I am to you a trustworthy adviser ( or “honest well-wisher.”)
Salih and Shuayab alaiahimus salam said:
وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ I gave you (my people) ˹sincere˺ advice (also means: I wished you good)
Remember:
None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself. (Bukhari, 2,6)
Want good for your brothers and sisters. Do not harm them. Do not hold anger for them. But forgive them.
Our Lord, give us good in this life, and good in the afterlife, and protect us from the punishment of the fire.
Let’s establish prayer, may Allah have mercy on you.
