My NYSC Adventure: The End

My people, NYSC don finish! No more khaki, no more allawee (tears in my eyes), and no more walking on the road to hear “Corper shun!” but before we fast forward to my passing out from NYSC, let’s rewind small to that time my LGI wanted to use me to do scapegoat.

You remember when I said my LGI gave me a query form? (If you don’t, go and read my past gist.) Well, guess what? I did not submit it. In fact, the form is still somewhere I don’t know. Imagine if I had submitted it, by now they would have given me three months extension.

But let’s leave that drama in the past because service year don finish.

This one year changed me, I won’t lie. I attended high-profile events, rubbed shoulders with some big people, and expanded my network. Imagine me, one humble corper, sitting in the same room with people who sign contracts in millions. E choke! From research work to virtual assistant, transcriptions to AI, I gained knowledge that no classroom could have given me.

If NYSC taught me anything, it’s that life is about positioning. One minute, you’re holding a query form, the next minute, you’re shaking hands with important personalities. I’ve grown in leadership, learned resilience, and sharpened my skills in ways I never imagined.

Now, as I step into the next phase, one question remains: What next? One thing is certain; I’m ready for greatness.

NYSC was fun, but the real adventure starts now. So, dear Nigeria, hope you’re ready for me?
