Healing Through Crochet and Silence

When Happiness Feels Temporary

Life is really hard sometimes.

Healing Through Crochet and Silence

Healing Through Crochet and Silence

For me, happiness never stayed for long. If one day felt peaceful, the next few weeks would feel filled with sadness again. Slowly, I started believing that maybe I was unlucky in everything. Especially in love. No matter how much I cared, understood, or stayed loyal, love never stayed in my life the way I wished it would.

There were nights when I questioned myself endlessly.

Why am I always emotionally tired?

Why does nobody understand my pain?

Why do I feel alone even in a crowded room?

Those feelings stayed inside me for a very long time.

The Silent Pain Nobody Notices

People usually notice a smiling face, but they rarely notice a heavy heart hiding behind it.

There were moments in my life when I felt completely broken inside. I even thought about giving up on life because everything felt emotionally exhausting. I was tired of pretending to be okay. Tired of carrying pain silently. Tired of expecting people to understand me.

But deep inside, I knew one thing clearly — ending life was never the answer.

Pain can change a person, but it should never destroy them completely.

So instead of giving up, I tried to find something that could calm my mind.

And unexpectedly, I found crochet.

How Crochet Became My Therapy

I did not learn crochet from expensive classes or professional teachers. I simply watched videos on my phone and started learning slowly by myself.

At first, it looked like a small hobby.

Just yarn, a crochet hook, and simple patterns.

But slowly, crochet became much more than that.

Every stitch started calming my mind.

Every handmade flower felt like proof that even broken people can still create beautiful things.

Whenever my thoughts became heavy, crochet gave me peace. While creating something with my own hands, my mind slowly became quieter. The sadness inside me did not disappear completely, but it became easier to handle.

Sometimes healing does not come from people.

Sometimes healing comes from creating something beautiful while silently fixing yourself.

The Reality Many Girls Face

One painful truth about society is that many girls silently suffer emotional pain every day.

Women are often expected to adjust, stay quiet, sacrifice endlessly, and still smile through everything. Until society stops treating women like emotional prisoners, many girls will continue facing discrimination, pressure, loneliness, and emotional neglect.

I faced many situations where nobody cared about the pain inside my heart. People noticed my silence, but nobody tried to understand the reason behind it.

That feeling hurts deeply.

Sometimes it even makes a person lose interest in life itself.

But surviving those moments teaches something important too — strength.

Silence Is Also a Battle

People think silence means weakness.

But honestly, silence is one of the hardest battles a person can fight.

Staying calm while carrying emotional pain requires incredible strength. Healing quietly without explaining yourself to everyone is not easy at all.

I slowly learned how to keep myself busy, how to move forward little by little, and how to protect my peace.

The more patient we become with ourselves, the more peaceful our lives slowly feel.

Healing is not always loud.

Sometimes healing is simply waking up every day and deciding to continue.

One Small Stitch at a Time

Today, I am still healing.

I still have difficult days.

I still overthink sometimes.

But now I understand something important:

A painful life does not mean a meaningless life.

Even sadness can create art.

Even lonely hearts can build beautiful futures.

And sometimes, a girl who once felt completely lost can slowly learn how to love life again — one small crochet stitch at a time.
