Grandfather clock

A haiku

grandfather clock — starbursts on the window a swaying lantern

The grandfather clock anchors the room in its measured rhythm, while beyond it the world seems alive with smaller, shifting wonders. Starbursts scatter across the window and the lantern moves gently in the dark, turning an ordinary evening into something almost dreamlike. The moment feels suspended between steadiness and motion, memory and light.

Curious how these small moments become haiku? I’ve written a short guide called *The Three-Minute Haiku System*, which shows a simple way to turn an observation into a draft haiku in just a few minutes.
