McDonald’s Marketing Bootcamps

A marketing bootcamp is a marketing program which aims to help participants to attain proficiency in marketing strategies and modern tools associated with it.
It is normally a great option for people who need mentoring and career coaching.
Students often have a professional portfolio after a course and extensive experience. Industry experts guide students with the help of lectures, videos, interactive exercises, and team activities.
McDonald’s Bootcamp
In a similar manner, McDonald’s will host 2022 iCR8 Bootcamp. It will be hosted in Los Angeles.
The bootcamp has been designed to help increase opportunities for leaders of color so that they can grow and learn. Marketing includes a wide range of disciplines, each of which requires its own set of skills.
The participants of the bootcamp will be students who are at different places in their career journey. They can be students, recent college graduates or experienced individuals who want to transition into the marketing industry.
Twelve marketers will receive training and they will work on campaigns for McDonald’s. Participants will also get internship opportunities from the PR and marketing agencies of McDonalds which will help them to pursue their careers in media and PR. They will also get a chance to present their work at the McDonald’s headquarters.
Partnership
For this project, McDonald’s USA has partnered with the nonprofit, Marcus Graham Project.
This is the first time the nonprofit has partnered with a restaurant.
According to Lincoln Stephens, co-founder and chairman of the Marcus Graham Project, black professionals have been underrepresented in the marketing industry for quite a while.
The nonprofit is celebrating its 15th anniversary and with this bootcamp it wants to demonstrate how real-world learning can change lives and career paths. This bootcamp aims to provide participants with experience and knowledge that they can use in careers in marketing and media.
Duration
The bootcamp will begin on June 6 and last for eleven weeks.
Activities
There will be different activities during the bootcamp. Marketing is a creative science and the participants will have plenty of opportunities to know how to do it all and dive into work. They will function as a pop-up agency and also work on marketing and communications output for McDonald’s.
They will also interview for entry level jobs for the creative agencies of McDonald’s, Widen+Kennedy and The Golin Group.
They will also get to interact with the senior executives of McDonald’s who will give them the mentorship they need to work on marketing campaigns.
They would also communicate with different stakeholders who will help them at every step of the creative process.
At the end of the program, the participants will present their work at the McDonald’s headquarters.
They will also tour Hamburger University and enjoy menu items from the test kitchen. This is just one of the ways by which McDonald’s is creating opportunities for diverse communities to pursue careers.
