Let’s get to know some birds

I am avid photographer. Among other subjects, I take lots of bird pictures. Let me share some.

Today, I saw two coot chicks. The mother was teaching them foraging and swimming.

It was a lovely experience. Have you seen one?

I live in Rancho Mission Viejo, California, barely 8–10 miles from the Pacific Coast.

Sometimes seagulls are seen soaring in circles very high up. Today, in the midday, I saw one such flock.

The swallow birds come all the way from South America to make mud nests under the eaves in my neighborhood.

Hummingbird on peach branch. Small bird, but so delightful.

Canada geese foraging on the lawn near a lake. They are majestic to look but they create lots of filth.

A mourning dove on a leafless Chinese rain tree. Beautiful camouflage. There were two of them.
