Strengthening Bonds, BPH OSIS Nurul Jadid MAN 1 Yogyakarta Holds Syawalan 1447 H

Yogyakarta (MAN 1 Yogya) — The Executive Board of OSIS Nurul Jadid (BPH OSIS NJ) organized a Syawalan 1447 H gathering with former board members from various generations on Sunday (April 5, 2026), held at Djoglo Penang Restaurant.

The Syawalan event is an annual tradition held during the month of Syawal. It aims to strengthen the sense of family between current board members and alumni, foster togetherness, and serve as a moment to seek forgiveness while sharing experiences that can inspire the current leadership.

The event was attended by active board members from the 27th and 28th generations, as well as alumni from the 26th, 25th, and 24th generations. The presence of multiple generations helped strengthen connections and expand relationships among members.

The program began with an opening by the MC, followed by a speech from the President of OSIS Nurul Jadid for the 2026/2027 period, Shufia Aghnia. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation to the alumni for their presence.

“We would like to thank all former BPH OSIS Nurul Jadid members for taking the time to attend. We hope this Syawalan event becomes a space to strengthen our bonds, expand our networks, and open opportunities to support one another in the future,” she said.

Head of MAN 1 Yogyakarta, Edi Triyanto, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., also expressed his appreciation for the event.

“This Syawalan activity is a very positive tradition in building a sense of togetherness, strengthening relationships, and instilling the values of Islamic brotherhood among students. I hope the connection between active members and alumni continues to grow and contribute positively to the development of the school,” he stated.

The event continued with an introduction session of the new board members and alumni, followed by a sharing session that provided motivation and inspiration for the current committee. The gathering then proceeded with a communal meal.

The Syawalan concluded with the recitation of the Syawalan pledge and a group photo session. Through this activity, it is hoped that the relationship between BPH OSIS Nurul Jadid and its alumni will grow stronger and encourage greater collaboration in supporting future programs and activities. (sya)
