God is My Ignorance
Imagine this: in my previous writing, I stated that human consciousness is merely an electrical current. If that is true, it means humans are essentially free and limitless. Once this electrical current is no longer tethered to a physical vessel, consciousness can roam anywhere, moving from point A to point Z at the speed of 300,000 km per second (c). Yes, indeed — as fast as light. When human consciousness is released from its container, we can pierce through the atmosphere into outer space and meet our fellow “electrical current” companions. Death, in that sense, is remarkably sublime.
Then I wondered: what exactly will I see after death, once the electrical current of my consciousness is liberated and no longer restricted by the senses? Surely, I will be able to perceive what the eye cannot see and hear what the ear cannot detect. I imagine my death as something deeply pleasant.
But then, what follows? Without a vessel, I would simply be observing and wandering, unable to take any action.
Ah, of course. At the very least, I must have a mission that requires no physical form: to seek God. I wander through my thoughts before my passing…
Is God at the edge of the universe? Is God at the far end of the universe? Does God also take the form of an electrical current? Or perhaps light?
Suddenly, I must stop my wandering — not because I have found the answer, but because it is simply time to stop.
Have you ever imagined the ocean? The sea is so vast, yet does a fish ever realize it lives in water? Of course not. Because they live within it, they assume water is just naturally meant to be there. They only realize they are no longer in the water when they run out of breath and end up on our dinner tables.
Now, if consciousness is an electrical current, when we die and return to that state, we will not know what contains that current in space until we transform into another form and exit from it.
My imagination ends here, and I have discovered that God perhaps resides at this very point.
It is where the entirety of human knowledge reaches its limit. Therefore, to me, “God is my Ignorance.”
