We take care of your dog wherever and whenever you want as soon as possible.

Scope: 8 weekends challenge. In a team of 5, find out the needs and frustrations on a topic and find a solution in the form of an app. In our case, we picked up “PETS”.

I want to put you in context

Let us present you Pablo, Marta and Mole. Pablo and Marta are a couple in their early 30’s, they like to do sport, meet friends and they just bought a camper van so that they can travel around with Mole, their dog.

Like them, there are every time more and more people having a dog and a lifestyle-related to it.

What are the needs and frustrations while having a dog?

We wanted to know more about people like Pablo and Marta so we did 52 interviews with people having or had a dog. We stared with 10 and after the first results we kept on making more concert questions to find out the core insights.

Focusing on the key insight

We discovered that people like Pablo and Marta were adapting their holiday destination in order of being able of taking their dog with them or had to ask someone to take care while being away. After inquiring a bit more we found out, that even when taking their dog there many activities weren’t possible.

Places were dogs are not allowed.

The first idea was not good.

We came up with the idea of a guide that would walk you through the city and would take care of your dog when needed (ex: entering a museum).

But already by testing on paper prototypes, we found out that people didn’t like the idea of having a guide. They didn’t want to have someone looking out for them the whole time.

So we pivoted and stayed focus on the key insight.

What happens when going around with my dog and a friend calls to join now to a cool plan that I don’t want to miss?

Options:

1. I stay with my dog and miss the plan
2. I spend time going home and after maybe the plan is over
3. I ask friends or family again for favours

That means our solution should be fast. But while interviewing some important things came up that we could not forget.

What is LetsDog?

Is a service for those dog owners who, at some point, need to leave their pet in the care of someone else. At that time we offer an immediately reliable dog sitter wherever they are.

What’s different from existing dog sitters?

Competitors require clarification of at least 24h hours while LetsDog is for where and when you need it.

• We take care of your dog when and where you need so that you can improvise whenever you need knowing he is staying in good hands
• You get 10 min to check if there’s a good feeling between your dog and the dog sitter. (As we said before, you don’t leave your dog with anyone so we give you some time to get the right vibes).
• Our dog sitters are certified and have some dog experience so that they can take care so good of your dog as you do.

How did we build that service for the user?

After all the interviews we did an empathy map to order the main information we got and understand better our users and their needs.

Then we focused on how to help them.

We analyzed the whole journey in order to improve it and find opportunities for improvement.
