Marc Levine to be Honored with Mets Hall of Fame Achievement Award

May 30th promises to be a great day in our club history.

Lee Mazzilli and Bobby Valentine, two life-long friends and former teammates will be inducted into our Hall of Fame.

Maz was an All-Star player on a lot of not so good Mets teams in the 1970’s and Bobby V. led us to over 500 wins and became the first manager to make it to the postseason in consecutive years in 1999 and 2000.

We are honoring one more person before our 4:10 game with Miami Marlins that day and that’s the great Marc Levine. Marc, who passed away on July 4, 2024, will receive the Hall of Fame Achievement Award for his 35 year career as the Mets chief photographer. From 1989 until he died, Marc chronicled every major event at Shea Stadium and Citi Field. He was beloved by players, coaches, managers and fellow employees alike. He was never too busy to fulfill any request.

Marc’s wife Stephanie and his daughter Samantha will be on the field to accept his award. I am proud to say he was my friend.
