Breaking the Silence on Finance: Why Inclusive Literacy is a Win for Uganda

Amelia Martha Nakitimbo, a seasoned financial advisor with Cornerstone Asset Managers and Prudential Assurance Uganda Limited, is taking a deliberate step toward ensuring that financial literacy is not only widespread, but truly inclusive.

According to the Uganda National Association of the Deaf (UNAD):

“Communication barriers faced by Deaf persons prevent their integration, full participation in family, community and enjoyment of human rights entitled to all members of society.”

When information remains inaccessible, many people are left to depend on informal advice networks that may not always be accurate or reliable. Removing these barriers does more than improve communication, it creates pathways to independence, confidence, and informed decision-making.
