Viral Spiral

Oh why don’t my stories go viral? This causes my dismay to spiral. In a state of wanhope, I sit round and mope, Whilst my jaded feelings still spiral.

Is it venal to want to make money? Cash could make my life seem more sunny, But at present it seems, Such thoughts are just dreams, Not a pathway to bread and to honey.

I must try to stay both calm and still, Not longing for that dollar bill. I must try not to vent Or express discontent, For life will do as it will.
