13/300. My first read for the year.

My first read for the year should have been finishing up, “All our wrongs today,” by Elan Mastai. A sci-fi, Salvin recommended last year. I’m halfway through it and I’m not sure why I’m not done with it yet. It’s a pretty lovely book and I have enjoyed it so far but yet to finish it.

But just few days ago, my sister made mention of the housemaids by Freida McFraden and I was interested enough to get it and I finished three series of the four part book in two days.

Somebody scream hallelujahhhhh.😂

The housemaid is a psychological thriller and I will try not to spoil the book as I share what I love about it.

The housemaid is a four part book namely, “The housemaid,” “The housemaid secret,” “The housemaid is watching,” “The housemaids wedding.” And I read all except the housemaid is watching.

What I love about this thriller is how gripping it was. It had me hooked from beginning to end and you’d think the second series, the housemaid’s secret shouldn’t grip me anymore especially considering I can say I’d understood what the storyline looked like already but nope.

It had me hooked, I finished it in less than two hours and started the housemaids wedding.

I love the housemaids wedding because unlike most books, it gave us a little insight into the main characters life and not just leave us hanging. It’s supposed to be the last of the series but can also be read before the third part.

The story in itself is haunting, scary, and thrilling. It will take you for a spin ad maybe, it will bring you back. You never know.

Overall, I’d say it’s a solid 10/10 for me and if you haven’t or are interested in Psychological thrillers, you should check it out.
