Less of a Nudist

For My Dogs

When I still lived at home with my parents one of the most exciting reasons I found to move out was being able to embrace a more naked lifestyle. My first few years out on my own felt like a full time no P.J. party. I know, it’s a little ridiculous, but that’s how I felt. One of the freedoms of living by my own rules was not having to wear clothes and I loved it. Unfortunately at that time I was mostly living in Kentucky and the more I think about it, the more I realize that there are only about 3 months out of the year that are great to be naked in Kentucky. I mostly wore my house coat (a robe with a zipper) open so I’d feel naked, but in practicality I wasn’t fully naked so I’d be warm enough. I’d wear a onesie sometimes too, but aren’t we all naked under our clothes?

Eventually, I accidentally became a dog mom. It was an amazingly happy, sometimes overwhelming, time in my life. There were several levels of adjustment I had to make, one of which was wearing clothes more frequently so I was always at the ready for potty training. There were many more outdoor trips for the puppy’s bathroom, but there was also the gradual curve of increasing visitors that happens when you have an adorable dog that everyone wants to come visit. There were more drop in visits from family friends and our dogs would pick up on when their puppy dog friends would walk by our house. I’d let them out and go say hi myself, that happened much faster if I was already dressed or had something easy like a loose fitting dress I could throw on as I walked out the door.

I’m writing to you now from my backyard, naked. I’m watching the pups play and enjoying the warmth of an early evening in Florida, the times of warmth here seem to stretch on and on. I’d ask why I didn’t move to Florida sooner with my nudism ways, but I’m thankful I found my way to their warmth and their springs and call this place home. Now my new mission might be to find springs that allow nudity, I do have a new nude beach to visit, and I’ve found a few nudist communities around. Warm weather and sun on my skin are sure ways to brighten my day and my life.
