Starting Ideation

In this class we finally started thinking about solutions. We got into groups and started throwing out ideas to see what we like and what we didn’t.

Some ideas were a partnership with farmers markets, having qr codes with food items on campus to show nuitrition, a meal prep food subscription for on-campus students, a dietary restrictions station in dining halls, a free food pantry, and a rotation of food trucks.

It was a combination of the last one and the nuitrion labels that got our minds stirring. So we further refined and came up with a food truck rotation as the solution and an app as a tool. Within the app it would have the locations of the foodtrucks, what they are serving, and the nuitrion and macros for all the food items.

As further incentive to use the solution we thought of offering some sort of good grade discount. ex: those on the dean list would get a coupon of sorts to be used at the foodtrucks.

Once that was decided we then were sent off at the end of the day to begin secondary research: looking into similar solutions and all information surrounding that so we know how to construct our own.
