Please Don’t Leave Me (the plea)

I know you say you’ll always stay, That you will never go. But if what you think is what you say How do I really know?

There’s always doubt within my mind, For I’ve been hurt before. I know you seem caring and kind But how can I be sure?

I can’t help feeling insecure, I must protect myself. Heartbreak to me is like a war, Don’t leave me on the shelf.

“Please don’t leave me,” Is what I ask, I gave my heart to you. So do not hide behind a mask, I need you to be true.

For You Are My Always (the reply)

Each word I say is what I mean I will not lie to you. I hope my honesty is seen, To you, I will be true.

While life allows, I will be here, Beside you every day. I’ll devote time to you my dear Even when I am away.

So, don’t be sad and full of doubt, Despite what you’ve been through. I won’t give you the need to shout, I’ll stick to you like glue.

I hope you know my word is bond, I won’t lead you astray. Of you, I am extremely fond, For you are my always.
