Die A Thousand Deaths

Lie in a thousand breaths

Macabre as it comes, but sometimes you just cannot sugar-coat things any longer.

A Pandemic definitely fits one of these categories. Death is the currency a Virus tends to deal in. Covid ensures you won’t be short- changed if you’re not careful.

Coronavirus Diaries : UK : 4/12/2020, Friday:

• ‘When Hell freezes over’ can well be applied to Russia right now.
• News at Ten last night highlighted their plight.
• Their official figure given out as 28,000 new cases per day, (which in itself is really high), is actually thought to be vastly under reported.
• A health worker there said, ‘as many as ten times that official figure is more likely the case!’

Can you imagine if this estimate is anywhere near the truth of the matter?

The news item warned viewers as to the content of the next scene, as it cut to the conditions of one hospital within Siberia.

That dark ‘Cancer Ward’ Russian novel by Solzhenitysyn has nothing on this scene. Scores upon scores of filled body bags were in evidence. Not in any makeshift mortuary, but in the hospital corridors!

Hell has truly frozen over there.

One thing that has downsized the extent of their official death figure is to only register death being caused from the actual Coronavirus, not to register those with Coronavirus as a Co-Morbidities count.

This differs to all the Western European countries, but it is actually stated by The WHO as the only accurate way to conduct any death tally.

As with most things we’ve become so used to these days, we will never know the truth.

Their Sputnik 5 vaccine has its work cut out either way and it had better land in these places sooner rather than later, or there will be no arms to find!

True to form, Putin is having all of his armed forces lined up as his top priority!

With snow having fallen in some parts of Kent overnight and spreading Northwards, together with a rare snow event in Scotland, (awakening people with huge explosions accompanying their early season spattering of the white stuff), it does indeed seem like we are currently in a freeze- frame situation in the UK.

Rare thunder snow storms the order of the day.

Not exactly lifting the doom & gloom that prevails all around either.

We await the vaccine progress with open arms, but knowing only too well not to let our guard down. That only leads to the Bad Genie Virus having the last laugh on us.

Seems there’s no putting a lid on it gor good?

Let’s have a sweep around the World: Just like the Virus.

Fauci the Chief Medical expert in America has apologised and retracted his condemnation of Britain yesterday when he said we had cut corners irresponsibly in order to be the first country to have a means out of this hell.

Referring of course to the imminent arrival of the Good Genie, known in my book as a reputable Vaccine on our shores.

• He wishes us well and says he has a great respect for the medical fraternity in Britain and he can only see us doing well from here on in.
• Perhaps it’s all a matter of perspective from where you are viewing the pandemic from at any given time? As the USA continues to be in a dire state and the UK, I would say, is still in a precarious position of its own.

Joe Biden has declared that Americans should now wear a face mask for 100 days.

( I hope they wash it now and again!)

To help stop the spread he proudly pronounces. Think it will take a good deal more than this Joe lad! America is hardly an exemplar in how to deal with a Pandemic.

Meanwhile Italy, (who were the first European country to reel under the first swipe of the unseen one), is now reeling once again!

Recording 993 deaths yesterday, it broke its own record of just over 900 in the first wave and needless to say they are in all sorts of trouble.

*With the imminent arrival of a vaccine, we may well have witnessed the start in having the virus on the run, but in between times it continues to run amok wherever it fancies.

Diary Comment:

• If Hell is beginning to freeze over, within a dire December of a Pandemic, lets hope for all our sakes the vaccine does indeed provide a ray of sunshine.
• To prevent it being a complete white out for the world!
• In turn leading to a total wipe-out.
