The Cracker Placebo Failed

I gave it a try this morning. My migraine issues are by far the worst just after I get out of bed. This morning I tried eating a handful of Ritz Crackers just as the pain was ramping up in the hopes that the placebo effect I wrote about yesterday would be an actual thing.

It wasn’t.

The pre-breakfast morning crackers had no effect. Also, the migraine medication had no effect. They were equally effective in their lack of effect. Hooray.

Quick change of subject, a work email I was hoping to get just arrived! Nice, thanks!

Quick change of subject back to the previous subject… what was I writing about? Oh yeah, headaches. I’ve been working in the office for the last three days so my usual early morning routine has been altered. The headaches have been fucking brutal each of those three mornings. I am hoping that tomorrow, being a normal telecommuting day, will see things calm down a little as I follow my preferred, normal morning routine. That includes exercising and eating breakfast right away rather than waiting to eat breakfast in the car while driving in to work. I still think food is related to this somehow, even if Ritz Crackers being helpful is just a coincidence. Hell, everything seems to be a coincidence. Maybe it all comes down to timing.

Change of subject again. Tomorrow is Halloween. We have three pumpkins at home waiting to be carved into goofy jack-o-lanterns. I think the carving has to happen tonight. I’m looking forward to making a huge, gross mess with my wife and my step daughter. Fingers crossed we can make it happen.

Okay, gotta go make my lunch. 1:00pm lunch break ahead of a 2:00pm meeting. Here we go!
