I got into flipping golf clubs thinking it would be easy money.

Go on Facebook Marketplace, find a cheap set, clean it up, relist it, and profit. That’s how people make it sound. In reality, it’s not that simple.

Good Deals Don’t Sit Around

The first thing I learned is that real deals disappear fast.

If a set is actually underpriced, it’s gone in minutes. I’ve had listings slip through my hands just because I hesitated a little too long. So either you’re checking constantly, or you’re missing out.

There’s no “I’ll come back to this later.” Later means it’s already sold.

There’s still a payoff.

I sold one set for $80 that I didn’t have much into. Not life-changing money, but enough to prove that the whole thing actually works.

This isn’t passive income.

You’re checking listings, messaging people, meeting up, cleaning, taking photos, relisting. It takes time and consistency.

It’s more of a grind than people make it seem, especially at the start.

If I was starting over, I’d focus on three things:

• Moving fast when a real deal shows up
• Keeping expectations realistic on profit
